Arana

History

This is the D&D world created by Anthony V. Edwards, Dungeon Master (DM).

The world was first created on a limited scale in 1979 and significantly revised in 1981.

This world contains landmaps, towns/cities/villages, ruins, characters, monsters, and much more!

By 1983, Anthony began developing computer programs to help manage game play and later contain world data, stored at that time to cassette tape.

Today, a mass of data on Arana now lies inside an SQL database.

The original programs were written on a Commodore 64 in BASIC, then Commodore 128 in BASIC, then Compaq PC in TurboPascal, then a PC in Turbo C/C++, and now is on a Linux PC in PHP and C++.
